本题是很有特点的一道今昔对比题，所以在写作时一定要注意时态的切换，另外，题目里有politics。一看到政治，很多同学就慌了。平时不太关心政治那怎么写。请注意题目的要求不是讨论政治，而是讨论年轻人对政治的关心是否增加。所以不用细节性地谈什么政治主张或政治理念，而要侧重于当代社会环境、科技、通讯、交通等各方面，是否有助于年轻人接受、表达、或与别人一起分享政治方面的信息或意见。

1.大众媒体的发展扩大了人们了解政治新闻事件的覆盖面（ various news media outlets have expanded their coverage of political events. ）。这里给出一个参考例子“Arab Spring”，也叫“阿拉伯之春”（“阿拉伯之春”是指自2010年年底在北非和西亚的阿拉伯国家和其它地区的一些国家发生的一系列以“民主”和“经济”等为主题的反政府运动。这项运动先后波及突尼斯、埃及、利比亚、也门、叙利亚等国，多名领导人先后下台，其影响之深、范围之广、爆发之突然、来势之迅猛吸引了全世界的高度关注。发生在突尼斯的自焚事件是整个“阿拉伯之春”运动的导火索。在这次运动中，现代移动通讯技术和互联网社交媒体起到了重要的作用。）
